Tim Cody
Music
has been an essential part of my life. In 1985, I began working with
professional DJ's. I was 14, having fun and learning a lot. Everyday
after school I would spend hours spinning music and making
cassettes. By the spring of 1989 I started taking the parties
outside of my house, spinning small gigs at friend's houses. That
is when the business began - Alternative Sounds. In June 1990, I
graduated from Wantagh High School, but instead of having or going
to any graduation parties, I worked them. I would rather entertain
the crowd than be entertained myself...I started getting booked for
weddings, sweet 16's, block parties and communions. In 1997, I
incorporated and insured the business -Alternative Sounds,
Inc...Aside from private parties, I also Promote and DJ at night
clubs. You can catch me at Subculture in Amityville every Friday
night, spinning the best of 80's New Wave. Music is my life! That's
why I've spent so many years in this business, which picks up every
year. Just remember, the music will always be here
